About our Organization
University of Applied Sciences in Tarnow (UAS Tarnow) was called into being by the order of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Poland in May 1998 as the first higher education institution of a new type in Poland. It educates its students at the first level (bachelor/engineer) and at the second level (master). Total number of students exceeds 3700. There are over 300 academic teachers employed, including around 100 professors and associate professors

Why we are Participating in the Project
At University of Applied Sciences in Tarnow we believe it is important to collaborate on European level with institutions of Professional Higher Education to design effective, efficient and replicable interventions to the specific problems faced by PHE in the area of designing intercultural movement analysis blended courses for physiotherapy. UAS in Tarnow believes that joint trans-national approach to the course preparation will harmonise and improve the overall quality of preparing future physiotherapists to effective care of the elderly.
Our Role in the Project
We are the coordinators of the project. In this role, we will ensure that the project will be complete and delivered on schedule, while also organising the quality checks required to obtain the best quality outputs possible.
We will also work on the production of some of the Results: we will develop some of the course contents and lead the development of its structure; we will define the learning activities to be prepared and the ways of reviewing their quality. We’ll be also active in translating the materials into Polish. Finally, we will support the dissemination of the project Results.

Name: Agata Lada, PhD
Position in the Organisation: Head of the Department of Chemistry, academic teacher
PhD in Chemical Sciences, engaged in numerous activities aiming at popularising chemistry and digitising education, coordinator of several project Malopolska Educational Cloud project and an active participant of several other projects: Per Scientam ad Astra – science workshops, Scientists in Schools project, Children’s University, Małopolska Researcher’s Night, and Chemical Fridays. She’s also the author of several publications containing didactic materials for teaching and learning chemistry.
Name: Anna Stefanowicz-Kocoł, PhD
Position in Organization: Head of International Office, Head of the Faculty of Humanities, academic teacher.
Short Bio (max 50 words): PhD in Applied Linguistics, EFL and ESP teacher and trainer with over 20 years of experience as an academic teacher, manager of International Office of the UAS in Tarnow, project manager in international teams. She is also an author and co-author of several academic publications in the field of Applied Linguistics and Blended/Distance Learning and Teaching and Intercultural Communication.
